Chelan County Swift Water Rescue and Fish and Wildlife Rescue Stranded Kayaker

Chelan County Sheriff's Office Swift Water Rescue team and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife teamed up to rescue a kayaker on the Wenatchee River Saturday.

According to Sergeant Andy Zimmerman, a report came in that a kayaker was stuck on the grassy island in the Wenatchee River after the kayaker capsized. Fish and Wildlife provided a jet boat and a Chelan County Swift Water Rescue officer assisted Fish and Wildlife to retrieve the kayaker from the island.

The kayaker wasn't injured and the kayaker's name hasn't been released.
