The Chelan County Volunteer Search and Rescue is inviting the community to a barbecue buffet catered by Mama D's Kitchen along with a silent and live auction that includes a raffle. The second annual benefit auction and dinner is February 29 with tickets on sale now.

"We've got lots and lots of great items in the auction," said Matthew Kozma, president. "It is the primary fundraiser for the Search and Rescue team."

The entity is 100% nonprofit, 100% volunteer driven. The organization supports both Chelan and Douglas County sheriff's offices.

"We entirely rely on the funding from donations, grants and this banquet and things like that," said Kozma.

Tickets can only be purchased in advance, there will be no tickets available at the door. The event starts at 6 p.m. in Pybus Public Market.
