Individuals that participated in the pre-adjudication diversion program, Chelan County Adult Drug Court, will get to celebrate their achievement of completing the program on Thursday, October 3. In order to be a graduate, the participant completed comprehensive substance use disorder treatment, close supervision and accountability.

According to the Chelan County Superior Court press release, drug courts are evidence based programs that succeed in reducing drug use and recidivism among substance addicted, nonviolent offenders. On a national level, courts like Chelan County Adult Drug Court, save up to $13,000 for every individual served and return $27 for every $1 invested.

The graduation  is open invite. The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. in Courtroom 2 on the fifth floor of the Law and Justice Building with Judge Kristin M. Ferrera conducting the ceremony.
