Cherry Creek Media, owner of seven local radio stations including NewsRadio 560 KPQ, is being sold to a larger media company.

According to a press release by Cherry Creek CEO Jonathan Brewster, Townsquare Media will acquire Cherry Creek for almost $19 million.

Townsquare CEO Bill Wilson said during a company-wide Zoom meeting Thursday that stations in markets where Townsquare was not already represented, such as Wenatchee, should not be negatively impacted by the move.

"We've admired from afar." said Wilson, "You are so engrained in your local communities and it means so much to your listeners, clients and communities at large. That's really what Townsquare is all about. That's what we pride ourselves on. How can we help local communities and how can we help local businesses grow to reach their dreams?"

Townsquare is a community-focused digital media and digital marketing solutions company that focuses on market leading radio stations from markets outside of the Top 50 across the U.S. Townsquare also owns a network of national music brands such as XXLmag.com, TasteofCountry.com, UltimateClassicRock.com and Loudwire.com.

The seven radio stations of Cherry Creek - Wenatchee are: NewsRadio 560 KPQ, The Quake 102.1, 103.9 KW3, 99.5 The Bridge, Kissin 97.7, Talk 106.7 The Right Talk and Sports Radio 1340 The Hawk.
