The City of Chelan is inviting the community to fill out the 2020 survey so the planning department can apply the results to update the 2016 Shoreline Master Plan. The 25 questions will be used to gauge the public's understanding and concerns for the Shoreline Master Plan.

"The Shoreline Master Plan are all the codes and regulations that control what and how can be build on the shoreline area," said Farrah Schrock, project planner.

Every two years, the city is required by state to review and update the code. One of the requirements is public input.

"We are using this survey to gauge the overall understanding for the public of the codes and regulations and what their concerns are so we know the scope of any changes or areas we want to address through this review process," said Schrock.
