Deputies Find Man Dead Next to Snowmobile in Orondo Area

Douglas County Deputies are confirming the death of a man after they found him next to a snowmobile in Orondo.

They were called to make a welfare check on 56-year-old Kevin James just before 10 pm Friday in the area of Spring Creek Road after he hadn’t been seen for more than 24-hours.

Deputies say they had to use a UTV specially equipped with a track system to locate James, who was found dead next to a snowmobile, which was located off of the roadway.   

A cause of death is still under investigation, but deputies say initial findings suggest James suffered from a medical issue, and there was no evidence of foul play.     

James was a resident of Des Moines, Washington.
