The 17th annual Wings and Wheels in East Wenatchee takes place this Saturday. Trina Elmes, Events Director and PIO for the city says it's about bringing the community together and so much more.

"We also want to promote and educate our community on the significance of the first non-stop transpacific flight with Miss Veedol and Pangborn and Herndon."

There will be a car show from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., also kids day activities with bouncy houses but no carnival, booths plus some games and prizes for both kids and adults.

Elmes says the event is a lot of fun with learning about the Miss Veedol flight.

"We also are going to show the Miss Veedol movie that the Chamber actually worked with Voortex Productions on. It's about 16 minutes long and gives a little history on our side of the whole Miss Veedol flight. If you haven't seen that video, it's awesome."

They are also still accepting for the car show and you can register by reaching out to the city in-person, by phone or online.
