A 23 year old Ephrata woman was airlifted to Confluence Health after being hit by a vehicle, driven by an intoxicated driver, on Dodson Road Saturday night. The pedestrian, Zoe Tannler, was walking northbound shortly before 8 p.m. when she was struck.

"It was in Ephrata police jurisdiction and they asked Washington State Patrol to investigate, because it turned out the driver was a DUI," said Trooper John Bryant.

According to Bryant, Tannler was severely injured so state patrol detectives investigated and a warrant was issued for 34 year old Alisha Merritt, who was driving the vehicle that struck Tannler.
