Leavenworth Mayor Carl Florea extended his emergency proclamation for the City of Leavenworth last week.

According to the document signed July 2nd, a state of emergency continues to exist in the city and the mayor can continue to take actions deemed necessary to mitigate impacts from the pandemic.

The requirements of public notice and competitive bidding related to most of the city's leasing, purchasing and contracting are now waived for city departments.

With the modified Phase 1 still in effect, all fees for Special Use Permits for sidewalk and street use in commercial zones are suspended. Special Use Permit applicants will not have to comply with the Old World Bavarian Alpine Theme Standards either.
