Former Chelan County Sheriff K9 Majky has Passed Away

The Chelan County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook that former K9 Officer Majky has passed away.

The dog had to retire unexpectedly in December for medical reasons after which he was adopted by his handler Deputy Mike Lamon.

During his three years of service, Majky worked with all area law enforcement agencies and the SWAT team.

He was deployed dozens of times throughout the county in service to the community.

Details around his passing were not released.
