Grant County Haystack Fire Could Burn for Several Days

A haystack fire near Withrow in Grant County is expected to burn for several days and people are being asked to avoid the area of Road B NW and Road 7 NW.

Grant County Fire District 13 crews responded Sunday to the blaze that destroyed more than 400 tons of hay, but they were able to protect about 300 tons that were nearby.

Power was lost for a time, and Road B was closed while crews made the area safe.

No cause was listed.
