In the races for Wenatchee School Board, Maria Iniguez saw her lead shrink, but only by about a couple dozen votes and still leads Matt Van Bogart by 350 votes for Position 2. Katherine Thomas has grown her Position 4 lead over Michele Sandberg to 213 votes, while Julie Norton has surged ahead in the Position 5 race and now leads Miranda Skalisky by 127 votes.

As for the Eastmont School Board races, Joy Dawe has managed to overtake John "Stew" Steward Jr's lead of 45 votes and is now 168 votes ahead. Jason Heinz remains comfortably ahead of current board president Annette Eggers.

In other close school board races around the region, Mike Worden's lead over Misha Whitfield for Cascade School Board District #1 Director has shrunk to just 45 votes.

In the Lake Chelan School Board District #1 Director race, Stephanie Fuller now leads Cole Soreano by 61 votes.

Moses Lake School District's renewal levy, which failed in August's Primary Election, slightly grew its lead and is narrowly passing with almost 52% of the vote.

Here are the results so far from the biggest races across North Central Washington. Full county-by-county results can be found through the links at the bottom of the page.

Chelan County:

Wenatchee School Board Position 2 incumbent Maria Iniguez currently leads challenger Matt Van Bogart with almost 52% of the vote.

In what is likely the closest North Central Washington race in this year's General Election, Position 4 challenger Katherine Thomas leads incumbent Michele Sandberg by only 16 votes.

Wenatchee School Board Position 5 challenger Miranda Skalisky is right now leading incumbent Julie Norton by just 105 votes.

Wenatchee City Councilmember Keith Huffaker will remain in his seat after receiving 63% of the vote as of Tuesday night results.

Wenatchee City Council District 2's seat will have Mike Poirier serving in the position, as he leads comfortably with roughly 63% of the vote.

Top Rojanasthien was elected to the Wenatchee City Council District 3 position.

Trey Ising will maintain his position for Cascade School District 5 after receiving 65% of the votes.

Mike Worden received 52% of the votes for Cascade School District 1.

Zachary Miller will take the seat for Cascade School District 3 with 55% of the vote.

Zeke Reister took 73% of the votes for Leavenworth City Council Position 2.

Clint Strand currently has 79% of the vote to remain in his Leavenworth City Council seat.

Marco Aurilio is moving into the Leavenworth City Council Position 7 seat after receiving 56% of the vote.

Sharon Waters and Carolyn Wilson ran unopposed for their seats on the Leavenworth City Council.

Douglas County:

The race for Eastmont School Board's District 4 Director is a close one so far, with John "Stew" Steward Jr. leading opponent Joy Dawe by just 45 votes.

Challenger Jason Heinz is looking strong in his quest to become the Eastmont School Board District 3 Director, leading incumbent Annette Eggers with 62% of the vote.

East Wenatchee's City Council will remain in relatively the same lineup with Sasha Sleiman racking up 66% of the votes to remain in her seat. Council members Rob Tidd and Matthew Hephner ran unopposed.

Grant County:

The Grant County Hospital District #2 levy is passing with 62% of the vote.

Moses Lake School District's renewal levy, which failed in August's Primary Election, is narrowly passing with almost 51% of the vote.

In terms of mayoral races, Bruce Reim will continue as Ephrata's mayor, Maggie Celeya is leading in her race for reelection as Mattawa's mayor, and incumbent Paul Worley is comfortably ahead in Quincy. All other mayoral races in the county were uncontested.

Okanogan County:

The Republic School District had two levies on the ballot. It's replacement EP&O levy and it's proposed capital levy are both passing with about 51.5% of the vote.

John Culp is in a good position to win reelection as Okanogan's mayor with 59% of the votes so far. Current Pateros Mayor Carlene Anders is losing to challenger Kelly Hook by 23 votes, although with the town's small population the margin may be enough for Hook. Tonasket Mayor Marilou Kriner also appears in line to lose her race, with challenger Rene Maldonado currently holding just over 58% of the vote. All other mayoral races in the county were uncontested.

Counties will next update their vote counts Friday afternoon after 4:00 pm.

Three advisory votes were on the ballot. Advisory votes are suggestions to the legislature and are not a binding vote.

Statewide election results for advisory vote No. 36, or the telephone tax for behavioral, was repealed with 56% of the votes. Statewide election results for advisory vote No. 38, or the captive premium tax, was repealed with 49% of the votes.

The advisory vote No. 37, in other words the capital gains tax, was repealed with 62% of the vote. Local state senator, Brad Hawkins, has previously weighed in on the tax and didn't vote for the measure in the last legislative session.
