Moses Lake firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 3000 block of Lakeshore Drive Tuesday at 9:21 a.m. that ended up being contained to two outbuildings behind residences.

According to Assistant Fire Chief, Derek Beach, a resident was using a propane weed burner to clean up weeds in the yard when the fire got away and into a fence and small storage shed on the property. The fire extended to the neighbor's detached garage.

The shed on the property of where the fire originated was destroyed and the neighboring detached garage had significant damage.

Fire was contained in 20 minutes with no injuries to report.
