A passenger car collided with a school bus on West Malaga Road in Malaga around 12:15 Thursday afternoon, resulting in multiple injuries.

Chelan County Sheriff's Office Chief Jason Reinfeld said the bus, which had seven students at the time, was coming to a stop or stopped near Riviera Boulevard when it was rear-ended by a 2003 Buick LeSabre.

"It resulted in a couple of injuries. One of the students was transported to Central Washington Hospital with what appeared to be some minor injuries. The driver of the Buick was transported to the hospital as well," continued Reinfeld.

Deputies along with the Washington State Patrol have finished the investigation of the incident and it's unknown what kind of citations or charges could be pending for the unidentified Buick driver. West Malaga Road was closed for almost two hours.
