Quincy Homicide Victim ID’d

Detectives have determined the identity of the homicide victim found in a bag last week on Rocky Avenue Northeast in Quincy.

According to the Quincy Police Department, the King County Medical Examiner determined 29-year-old Abel Vargas of Quincy was shot one time in the head. Vargas was last seen August 8th being dropped off by a friend at the residence of the suspect, 30-year-old Martin Diaz.

Detectives have been in communication with Mr. Vargas’s family and will continue to help provide answers into his death.
