Quincy Police Looking for Wanted Felony Suspect

The Quincy Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted man after a search for him around noon Friday came up empty.

Captain Ryan Green said 49-year-old Avel Beltran Leon is wanted for Felony Harassment with Threats to Kill stemming from a domestic violence incident Wednesday.

Green said, "One of our officers got critical information that he was at a residence in the 500 block of I St SW, which is his last known address. He was last seen driving black colored SUV, which was parked in the driveway, so the officer obtained a search warrant."

Leon, who is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8 and roughly 165 lbs, was not home.

Although Leon has no known weapons, the public is urged to use caution if they see him and contact law enforcement immediately.
