The city of Quincy, along with support from Microsoft, is rolling out a proposed concept plan for the west, east and south entries into the community. The city is kicking off the project with reveal of the west arrival concept plan.

"One of Microsoft's programs, Voice of the Community, where they get community members together and see what they can do to help improve the community," said Carl Worley, municipal services director. "One of the big points that came up, was the community felt that we had an industrial look coming in town and wanted to clean it up."

Microsoft is funding the conceptual drawings to be done.

"They have grants and work with Berger Partnership, they did the design," said Worley.

The west entryway was a decision prompted by the new roundabout and the new commercial activity to the south. This then led to the city opting to apply the same concept to all three entrances to town.
