Semi-Truck Hits Cashmere City Hall Awning

There was a little excitement at Cashmere City Hall Thursday when a semi-truck tried to turn off Woodring Street around noon.

Chelan County Sheriff Chief Jason Reinfeld says it was right at the City Hall building.

"They have a covered walkway on the sidewalk so that it's entirely covered. The semi-truck turned too sharp and the trailer impacted the corner of the covered walkway and caused some damage to that covering."

No one was injured and the truck did not strike the building itself.

Eventually the truck was able to move on, but there was minor damage to the covered walkway.
