The annual Teddy Bear Toss at the Wenatchee Wild's game took place Friday evening at the Town Toyota Center and two large pickups full of stuffed animals were collected.

Interim Head Coach Chris Clark says it's one of his favorite games of the year.

"Anytime you raise money, or you raise whatever for somebody that's a good cause, that's a great event."

A goal by Tyler Young about four and a half minutes into the game prompted the toss.

The event began in 2008 though the Wenatchee Wild were shut out that year.

The Teddy Bear Toss is run by Operation Santa Claus which is headed locally by the Vets Serving Vets organization and is designed to collect the toys for kids in need.
