Waste Management will try and 'beat the heat' for the next week or so by beginning collections earlier in the day.

According to a press release, starting Friday morning Waste Management will begin collections at 5:00 am so drivers can finish their routes in time to avoid the peak hours of the upcoming heat wave. Residents are asked to place their carts at the curb by 5:00 am on their regular collection day, or the night before, until the triple digit temperatures subside.

Friday, the first day of the heat wave, will be followed by several days with highs all ranging from 105 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
