Wellness Place Gala Set for September 18th

Tickets for the Wellness Place's Annual Gala are on sale, and Executive Director Julie Lindholm says they plan to have a dinner, drinks, silent and live auction with local auctioneer Cody Hodge, a cancer warrior.

The Gala is the largest fundraiser for Wellness Place which helps people who are fighting cancer and their families.

"Some of the services that we give are gas cards to get to treatments, free wigs to women who are losing their hair due to chemotherapy, nutritional supplements in the form of nutritional drinks so people can eat and maintain their nutrients."

Lindholm says their goal is to raise $100,000.

The annual Wellness Place Gala will take place September 18th at the Wenatchee Convention Center Grand Ballroom which could allow for more guests than they normally have.

Lindholm says they were able to hold an auction event last year virtually, but believes people are excited about this year's Gala.

"I think we're all ready to celebrate life returning a little bit back to normal and helping to support our North Central Washington cancer warriors."
