Homes sales in the greater Wenatchee market did not rebound as expected in March and were actually down 20% as compared to March 2021.

According to data provided by Pacific Appraisal Associates, although active listings are up almost 50% from this time during the pandemic-stricken 2021 year, they were actually down from last month. March is classically the month the real estate market picks up after slowing down over the winter.

Market demand may not be slowing down though, as the average sales price for a home in the market is up 28% from the same time last year to almost $562,000.

Of all the home sales in the Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Malaga, Orondo and Rock Island areas over the last six months, over 41% have been homes over $500,000.
