Wenatchee Police Looking for Lost Ballistic Shield
The Wenatchee Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a valuable piece of equipment missing from the department's inventory.
The department discovered a ballistic shield was missing from its inventory around November 27th of last year. It was ultimately determined the shield was left at the scene of a search warrant served.
Captain Brian Chance says they have already done an exhaustive search that included multiple City vehicles and buildings.
"It is black in color and has a large clear viewing port on the front as well as two lights." explained Chance, "Additionally, it has the word 'POLICE' across the front of the shield in large, white, block lettering."
If anyone has any information regarding the shield or its whereabouts, call the Wenatchee Police Department at (509) 888-4200 or the non-emergency number for Rivercom Dispatch at (509) 663-9911.
Chance added that if the shield is returned voluntarily, there will be no questions asked and no charges filed.
