The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce is currently looking for its next Executive Director.

Chamber Board President Tod McLaughlin says the position needs a proven leader that can build relationships and solve complex problems. Ideally, the best candidate will be local.

"We want somebody that actually is already situated in the Wenatchee Valley." explained McLaughlin, "Somebody that knows our community, knows our business leaders and understands our culture, our climate and values."

The next Executive Director will replace Shilo Burgess, who is leaving the chamber this month to join the Douglas County PUD as their Manager of Government Affairs.

The deadline for applications is November 19th. At that point, the board's Executive Committee will go through applications and eventually whittle the candidates down to two or three before final interviews. McLaughlin added that the Executive Committee is in no hurry to fill the position.
