Donations are currently being accepted for the WestSide High School Leadership Club's 6th annual silent auction and spaghetti feed.

Principal Kory Kalahar said students from the school's Leadership Club has been hard at work with boots on the ground soliciting donations.

"Gift cards are always welcome." detailed Kalahar, "So are donations of art, books, handy or crafty-type things. We've had some local woodworkers making things like benches and wood-related art projects. Massages and car washes. We had a lifetime oil change one year. There also seems to be a lot of chocolate and wine as well."

The first auction and spaghetti feed was to raise funds for two students who had lost their dad. Proceeds from the fundraiser have since gone toward elementary-aged children who are fighting a disease or illness.

"This year will probably be the same." added Kalahar, "I can't release the name of our beneficiary at this point because we are still working out the details with the parents, but it will be a big event and it will help honor and support a young person fighting for their life."

Donations can be taken to WestSide High School on 9th Street in Wenatchee.

The spaghetti feed and auction is April 9th.
