WestSide High School is holding an open house Wednesday night for prospective students and their families.

Wenatchee School District Communications Manager Diana Haglund said the event is for those who are interested in an alternative learning environment.

"Particularly current high school students that maybe aren't finding their way in the traditional high school experience," Haglund said.

Incoming 9th graders who are also looking for a change in environment are encouraged to attend.

The free open house will run from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at WestSide High School at 9th Street.

According to the district, "WestSide High School serves a diverse student population looking for a non-traditional path to reach their academic goals. WestSide's student-centered program focuses on the whole student and is built in conjunction with learners. A part of the Wenatchee School District, the school serves 250 students and offers a low student-to-faculty ratio."
