"During winter months, when it's dark in the morning and it gets dark earlier at night, just be safe." implored Haglund, "Be really cautious of pedestrian traffic, especially in school zones or around schools."
Cashmere Valley Bank Branch Retail Operations Supervisor Tina Hampton said a donation account has been set up through Cashmere Valley Bank to help the family pay for medical costs.
"They can go into any Cashmere Valley Bank branch." explained Hampton, "Just specify that they want to donate to the benefit account and then our representatives can look up the account and make that deposit for them."
The crosswalk had a Crosswalk Warning Light System for pedestrians, and the system was activated at the time of the incident.
