MLPD Respond to Wednesday Night Drive-By Shooting

Moses Lake police have launched an investigation after a drive-by shooting occurred late Wednesday night. Officers were dispatched to West Basin Street and South Barbara Avenue for a report of multiple shots being fired around 11 p.m.

"When officers arrived in the area, they did locate number of small-caliber shell casings in the street in that area," said Captain Dave Sands.

Witnesses reported they had seen a male suspect enter a dark colored Chevrolet shortly after the shooting. Nothing was struck and nobody was injured.

Detectives have taken over the investigation and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Moses Lake police at 509-762-1160. Callers can remain anonymous.
