Quincy Valley Historical Society and Museum will be hosting an educational event, "Be Ready Expo" on May 22 from noon until 4 p.m. with nearly 50 experts and booths featured. There will be five areas of focus including Food Production and Preservation, Essentials Storage, Personal Wellness, Security and Energy Needs.

"With everything that has happened in the last year, there was a group of citizens in Quincy that felt that we could do a lot to help each other be a little more self sufficient and prepared," said Harriet Weber, Quincy Valley Historical Society & Museum director of operations.

Several local entities are participating such as Grant County PUD and Grant County Emergency Management. Speakers range from master gardeners to medical providers.

For the entire schedule of speakers, visit qvhsm.org, quincyvalley.org or on the Quincy Valley Historical Society & Museum Facebook page.
