At least one person has been displaced following a fire early Saturday morning that destroyed a home south of Moses Lake.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says firefighters responded to a smoke alarm in a double-wide manufactured home on the south bank of the Potholes Reservoir around 1:30 am. When crews from Royal Slope Fire and Grant County Fire District 4 arrived, heavy smoke was billowing from the dwelling at 7200 Cascadia Avenue Southeast in Marine View Heights.

The fire is believed to have started in the home's crawl space and by the time firefighters arrived it had extended to the rest of the residence.

There were no injuries, and the Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
