Boaters Asked to Give Wide Berth Upstream from Rocky Reach Dam

Chelan PUD is asking boaters on the Columbia River upstream from Rocky Reach Dam to provide extra space as crews are working on the floating boat barriers in that area.

The utility says they need at least 1,700 feet of space, or the length of five football fields, for safety.

The work is expected to last through the week of April 5th, which is spring break for many students.
