Car Strikes Side of East Wenatchee Safeway Building

East Wenatchee Police Department responded to an incident at the East Wenatchee Safeway after a car struck the building Tuesday afternoon. According to Officer Joe Hinkle, an elderly woman had accidentally driven into the building when she hit the accelerator pedal instead of the brake. The driver sustained no injuries and an employee had a minor injury when a shelf fell on his leg, however he wasn't transported to the hospital.
