Chelan Count Adjusts Three Locations’ Voting Precincts

Chelan County commissioners met with auditor Skip Moore and made the move to reassign voting precincts for three locations in the county. Two of the areas are located in the Leavenworth area and one of the areas is in the Chelan area.

"This will not affect in any way any of the voters in those precincts because these properties, at this time, are not occupied. They do not have homes on them," said Commissioner Bob Bugert. "Somewhere down the line, if they are developed, they will have their proper assignment."

According to Commissioner Bugert, this isn't related to the Census and that data will be coming in August. This adjustment is related to recent low level annexations in Chelan and Leaveworth.

This is an annual process done in coordination with the auditor to true up the precinct distribution based on recent annexations.
