Chelan PUD commissioners unanimously approved the strategic plan that zeroes in on four priorities to guide the PUD over the course of the next five years during the Monday, October 7, meeting.

The strategic plan establishes four main priorities for the PUD. Some of the priorities include engagement with county wide job creation, maintaining the district's rates and policies stability and predictability along with enhancing quality of life in the county with programs that distribute the benefits of public power.

It is noted in the strategic plan that energy markets are continuously evolving and are uncertain. The development and implementation of the new 'technology roadmaps' is a prominent part of the process for the five year business plans that support the strategic priorities.

Inflation level annual rate increases for electric and fiber businesses, along with 4% of water and wastewater businesses, is also in the strategic plan.
