Chelan PUD Invites Community to Riverfront Park Improvements Open House

Chelan PUD is encouraging local park enthusiasts to bring their best ideas to the Riverfront Park open house on September 28 at Pybus Market. The open house has two opportunities for folks to attend, 8 to 10 a.m. and 12 to 3 p.m. as well as an online option.

"(The public) will be able to look at a series of maps, drawings and identify specific elements that they can react to, positively, negatively or indifferently," said Justin Erickson, District services managing director.

The first open house for the project was during the preliminary stage of the project in July to gather information on what's currently working in the park and preferences for potential changes.

"Since then, we've been able to get much more detail in terms of design options," said Erickson. "The second open house is a chance for the public to come in and see their feedback represented in some of the design concepts."

The landscape architecture and design firm, Greenworks, did the concept drawings that will available to view at the open house.
