City of Ephrata Moves to Chlorinate Water by Summer 2020

The city of Ephrata will have chlorinated water by summer 2020 due to instruction passed down from the state's Department of Health. The chlorine is used to maintain water cleanliness.

"There is nothing wrong with our water. It's just that the health department has given us instruction that we need to do that under their guidance and we're going to honor that," said Mike Warren, city administrator.

The anticipation is that the water will be chlorinated by July.
