City of Leavenworth Prompts Locals to Share Housing Stories

The city of Leavenworth is encouraging community members to come forward their individual housing story at the September 2nd Housing Action Plan Workshop.

The 'Share Your Housing Story' is an avenue for residents to share the type of information about housing they find important personally.

"How they got here, what conditions they're living in," said Lilith Vespier, development services manager. "The story of why you came to Leavenworth, what's important to you here related to housing, what's working and what's not working."

Housing stories and pictures can be submitted via email, written and dropped in the utility box at City Hall or mailed in. Vespier adds folks can also chat with a planning commission member to relay their story.

"It's just more important for the planning commission and the city council to understand the diversity of housing that we have here and what's important to people," said Vespier.
