Community Foundation of NCW Joins Statewide COVID Campaign

The Community Foundation of NCW has joined the All in WA statewide fundraising campaign that is generating funds for COVID-19 relief. Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos also is joining in on the campaign with the promise of matching donations.

"It's really cool because Jeff Bezos is going to match up to $25 million in any new funds that come in," said Beth Stipe, executive director.

The Helping Hands Emergency Grant Fund program will be the recipient of those matching funds for donations received now until the first part of July or when the funds are exhausted.

A live streaming benefit concert will be held on June 10 at 7 that features famous Washingtonians to raise money for the campaign.

"We've got some really awesome folks from the state who are stepping up..including Pearl Jam, Macklemore, Ciara, Russell Wilson and Dave Matthews," said Stipe. "These are great Washingtonians that are going to give their time and energy to help raise money for fellow Washingtonians that have needs coming out of the COVID-19 crisis."
