The annual Flywheel Investment Conference will be presented differently this year and will take place on a virtual format.

The local spin on Shark Tank, six early stage companies vying for a $125,000 investment award from Flywheel Angel Network, won't take place on May 20 in downtown Wenatchee but will be streamed for free on the Flywheel website and GWATA's Facebook and YouTube.

"It's going to be online and streaming for free on May 20th from noon until 1:30. During the Flywheel Conference, six start ups from across Washington state are going to be competing head to head for a 125,000 investment award," said Jenny Rojanasthien, executive director.

There is also a 'Audience Favorite' award which the voting for that opens May 6 and closes on May 20 at 2. The six start ups competing are Agtools, Golden SHERPA, Humming Hemp, Joule Case, Parrots Inc. and Stormwater Controls LLC.

"We had 38 companies apply total," said Rojanasthien. "The top six are moving on to the final competition and going head to head. One of those six is Agtools, which is a locally based SaaS Ag and Food supply platform."

The Flywheel Angel Network will announce the winner of the investment award on June 1st.
