Six local stars have been chosen to be paired up with Utah Ballroom Dance Company professionals and perform for the Numerica Performing Art's Center 'Dancing With the Wenatchee Stars'. The community is invited to come view the familiar faces competing on January 17 at 7:30.

"The Dancing With the Wenatchee Stars is brought back by popular demand," said Maribeth Brisky, marketing assistant. "It's such a crowd favorite here with the locals."

The contestants include La Pera Radio TV host and reporter Rafael Aguilar, filmmaker and photographer Oly Mingo, Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shiloh Burgess, Follies Star and local pharmacist Dave Sutherland, Dilly Deli and Sweetwood BBQ owner Kelsey Dew and Music Theatre of Wenatchee Board Member and Hot August Nights alum Vicki Michael.

"They are costumed, put on stage, taught how to dance to perform in front of their friends and family and the rest of the Wenatchee Valley," said Brisky.

There will be a panel of local judges that include Wenatchee High School's Brian Higgins and Community Foundation of NCW's Beth Stipe, but the audience will get to weigh in with a vote for the winner of the Mirror Ball Trophy. The event will also include dance numbers from the professional dancers.

"It's a super fun opportunity to get to know more people in the community as well as watch a great fun show," said Brisky.

Tickets to Dancing with the Wenatchee Stars are $29-$33 with discounts for seniors ($27-$31) and youth ($23-$27) with increased prices on showday and $5 Student Rush. Tickets are available via Numerica Performing Arts Center.
