CWU Professor Receives $2 Million Grant to Improve K-12 STEM
Central Washington University geological sciences professor Anne Egger received a four year $2 million in grant funding to improve K-12 STEM education.
Egger will take on guiding faculty teams in developing, testing and implementing free curricular materials for college level science introduction courses.
"The burden is really on us to teach science, especially introductory college science classes, in a way that engages future teachers in the same way that we want them to be engaging their students once they get in their classrooms," said Egger.
The funding is from the National Science Foundation.
