Deputies Say Wenatchee Shooting Victim Not Cooperative With Investigation

Chelan County Sheriff's Detectives do not believe a shooting Thursday afternoon was gang related.

Deputies were called to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee at 6 pm for a gunshot victim.

They say the victim was shot in the 600 block of South Wenatchee Avenue earlier in the afternoon between 4:00 pm-and-4:15 pm, and drove himself to the hospital.

Deputies says the victim would not cooperate with their criminal investigation, but they do not think there is any threat to public safety.

The condition of the victim is not known.

Detective Josh Mathena of the Chelan County Sheriff's Office declined to say where on their body the victim was shot. He said an investigation is ongoing.

Sheriff's Deputies were called in to assist Wenatchee Police with the incident.
