The Soap Lake Police Department is providing information about what they're calling a slow pursuit that occurred on October 21st.

It began when Sgt. Spencer Nulph found a car that had reportedly been stolen in the 23-hundred block of Road B NE.

He called for backup and trailed the vehicle until help arrived.

At that point, he attempted to stop the vehicle, but it refused and head towards SR 17 on Road 19 NE.

This turned into a pursuit where speeds dropped to less than 20 MPH. Stop Sticks were used to bring the car to a stop.

29-year-old Kevin Gudde of Ephrata was arrested at the scene.
