Former gubernatorial candidate Tim Eyman was ordered to pay almost $2.9 million in costs a fees related to his recently concluded campaign finance case.

According to the Attorney General's office, the amount is in addition to the $2.6 million civil fine levied against Eyman in February for "numerous and blatant violations" of campaign finance laws.

The order to pay millions in costs and fees was the result of the willful delay of the state's case by Eyman. AG Bob Ferguson said, "Tim Eyman broke the law, repeatedly, and in order to delay his day of reckoning, he willfully dragged out this case with frivolous and cost-inflating litigation tactics. This decision ensures that Tim Eyman bears the cost of his years-long obstruction of our case, not the taxpayers."
