Fire Crews Put Out Fire in Palisades Area Saturday

Douglas County Fire District 2 and Grant County Fire District 13 contained a two-acre wildfire near Palisades Road and Wagon Road in the Airplane Canyon area Saturday.

According to a Facebook post, the fire was initially thought to be in the Rimrock area.

Crews responded aggressively with the windy conditions to stop the spread in, what Grant County 13 says an area that could lead to a prolonged wildfire incident.

Residents are asked to not burn in windy conditions.
