Wenatchee police have arrested the first of two suspects in last weekend's armed robbery of Ernie's Grocery.

Captain Edgar Reinfeld said, "The one suspect was positively identified by an eye-witness who knew that suspect and saw him in the immediate proximity to Ernie's Grocery right before the robbery wearing the same clothes. (He) had a mask but didn't have it on, but another person with a mask on was with him."

Officers served a search warrant on the residence of the suspect Tuesday night. A sixteen-year-old male from Wenatchee was taken into custody without incident.

"During that search they found a wad of more than $300 in cash." added Reinfeld, "In that wad of cash was a significant amount of LSD. During the search they located other possible drugs."

The sixteen-year-old Wenatchee male was booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Center on 1st Degree Robbery, 2nd Degree Theft, Aiming a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.

Two masked suspects entered Ernie's Grocery on South Miller Street just before 10:00 pm August 30th and robbed the store while holding the clerk at gunpoint.
