An 8 year old girl is expected to be fine after being run over by a parade float during the Moses Lake Agriculture Appreciation parade on Friday evening. Our news partner, iFiberone, reports the girl was part of the parade and was handing out candy. The girl reportedly was walking back to get on the float when she tripped causing her to fall underneath a vehicle. She was ran over and the driver of the float was unaware the girl was underneath. However, Grant County Fire District 5 firefighters were also involved in the parade and were able to quickly start first aid. Moses Lake Fire Department also responded. The girl was transported to Samaritan Hospital with what appeared to be non life threatening injuries.
