New Years Eve in the valley is bustling with options to ring in the new year and Hard Hat Winery is hosting its own celebration with a philanthropic twist. The event is free to attend with food from Burch Mountain BBQ offered, but beer, champagne and wine will be available to purchase with a percentage of sales going to BUNKER. BUNKER is an organization that supports local veterans in the Valley.

"It (The BUNKER) provides food, clothing, counseling and help veterans get in touch with a multitude of veterans services," said Greg Lone, co-owner of Hard Hat Winery.

The organization is located on North Wenatchee Avenue and provides a variety of help to local veterans. Recently, the group transferred a handful of homeless veterans to hotels for Christmas and if the veterans had children, hotel room was stocked with presents.

"They're just doing good things for veterans and we wanted to do something that's not only a fun event for everybody in the Valley but also benefit what we believe is a good cause," said Lone.

The celebration will feature live music by a local artist along with Grammy award winners, Wanz of Macklemore & Ricky B Rogers from Nashville. The event is from 7-12:30 on New Year's Eve and celebrations are at 9 and midnight.

Folks that abstain from alcoholic beverages can opt out of the wine and donate directly to the cause and sip on hot chocolate or tea. All ages are welcome.
