A head on collision near Grand Coulee closed the northbound lane on SR 155 at Federal Avenue at milepost 26-2.

Thirty nine year old Amy A. Glover from Wilbur Washington, was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer southbound, when she crossed the center line and struck 26 year old Malia D. Vogel head on. Vogel, who is from Almira Washington, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound on SR 155 near Grand Coulee, when the accident occurred. Trooper John Bryant with the Washington State Patrol, said the crash blocked the roadway for several hours. "The Explorer crossed the center line and struck the Impala head on in the northbound lane. Post impact, both vehicles blocked the northbound lane. The northbound lane was blocked for approximately 3 hours."

Bryant said that the crash was due to the impairment of both drivers. (DUI). Bryant notes that due to the severity of injuries Vogel sustained, Glover will be charged with vehicular assault. "Glover will still be charged with vehicular assault based on the injuries of the other driver. The other driver is still going to be charged with DUI, that's still a crime in this state," he said.

Glover and Vogel were transported to Coulee Community Hospital for their injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
