A juvenile faces felony charges after police say he made death threats against a Royal City High School student.

Officers say the threat took place during after school hours Thursday, and the campus was placed on modified lockdown because after school activities were taking place.

Police became involved after being notified by the Royal City High School administration of the threat.

The suspect was arrested after driving away and then returning to campus.

The modified lockdown lasted from about 4:15 to 5:30 Thursday afternoon.

Both Grant County Sherriff’s Office and the Royal City Police Department responded.

Anyone with more information on the threat against the student is being asked to call the Royal City Police Department or the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
